Received a notice that Apple Music is increasing the price 3 dollars a month. Such things make me wonder.
Now, a small business increasing prices, I understand. However, the accepted mindset shouldn’t be tolerated when the company rakes in nearly $10 billion in profit every month. This is after expenses and based on its latest quarterly report.
Let that sink in: $10 billion. Now, if $10 billion was given to a newborn, and that newborn lived 100 years, that newborn would have to spend $273,785 a day for their whole life to use it all. Most Americans don’t even make $273,785 in a year. That one-day amount would be life-changing for most Americans, and by far, life changing for most people on the planet.
If you don’t think that amount would be particularly life changing, then you’re filthy rich and should be ashamed of yourself, but you’re not, and we both know it. The rich don’t see that as life-changing. They can’t see that. They have no comprehension on how raking in $10 billion, as in $10,000,000,000.00, a month is such a bat-shit crazy amount of money. All they see is that it could be more, so let’s charge people more for the same service and use less than 1% of that extra money on pay raises. Maybe by the next report we can make it $11 billion a month.
Why? What’s the point? The point is to take money from the poor and give it to the rich so the rich have even more money than they know what to do with.
Don’t get me started on philanthropy. Making excuses for rich people because they give a pittance of their worth to a “good cause” is a tub of horse wash. Ruthless, greedy, self-centered people are the ones who become rich, yet they think, in their own twisted world, that this somehow justifies their view as being best suited as guardians of said money, to be the best to chose what it should be spent on. They are so diluted they can’t see the floating turds in the cesspit they’re swimming in.
Yet, will anything happen. Nope, people will continue to pay, the rich will become richer and poorer will continue to hang on, trying their best to make it day to day. While the poor juggle whether to buy their growing kids some clothes that fit or to pay the electric bill, the rich plan their next around-the-world vacation because they need a break.
They can’t fathom a true hard life. So, yes, even if that meant my retirement savings would disappear, I wish the stock market would crash, not have a depression, I mean a hard crash, like $1,000 shares are now worth $0.01 kind of crash. It would be the only thing that would give the greedy the closest to the swift kick in the ass they deserve.
