Today, I received notice from the courts that my divorce hearing is set for July 18.
Here comes the moment in which, someone who doesn’t know me gets to decide the fate of my life. Courts always favor the mother, even if that mother later kills her kids. So I am fearful as to what may happen.
She left us saying she realized she didn’t want to be a wife or mother any more. Yet, that matters little in courts that have long blamed fathers for all kinds of domestic issues.
There’s not much more I can do but buy a suit, go see the judge and wait my fate. Not sure I’ve ever been so nervous.
