So my dumb ass got scammed. As much as I try to stay aware and skeptical of claims, this one got me during a point of weakness, and I feel like shit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I really wish I could find the person behind it and ensure they are removed from ever conning others. But I am powerless, and \u201cgetting back at wrong doers\u201d is just a TV premise, e.g., the A-Team, Equalizer, Leverage. That crap doesn\u2019t happen in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In real life, grifters get away with it behind legalese and layers of obfuscation. So, when scammed, you feel helpless and hopeless in humanity, society and, worse, yourself. I knew better, and I don\u2019t truly have the money to spare, but such people lack empathy for victims or themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I fell for it, so I deserve it, they would claim. Maybe in some ways they are correct. I want to trust in humanity, this has just made me more suspicious, skeptical and quicker to pull the trigger without question. Humanity, society, culture deserves no sympathy if this is the product of 200,000+ years of evolution. Our experiment is coming to an end; we have failed and will destroy ourselves if nature doesn\u2019t erase us before we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I really feel like shit, like a dark pit sits in my chest. I was a fool. The one thing I hate the most is lies, and this world is full of them, and the ones spouting them are rewarded, even elevated, instead of eradicated. So they taint humanity a little bit more each time, fueling ripples of distrust, misery, strife, war. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But we don\u2019t stop such people from continuing their grifts because it\u2019s just drops in the ocean, not worth any true punishment. We don\u2019t offer any serious repercussions as a deterrent when the risks are so little and rewards so great for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
